View Your Band Account Through CHARMS!
Concord Band parents can now view their child's band account through the CHARMS Parent Portal. To view, click on the "CHARMS Band Account Login" at the bottom of the band homepage. Enter your student password, then look for the "Finances" icon.
If you are logging into CHARMS for the first time and need your password, email Renee Morin to get started.
Because it is web-based, CHARMS can be accessed through the internet from any computer, anywhere in the world. CHARMS is a web-based band program management system to help music teachers and booster clubs organize student contact information, manage inventory, assign uniforms, track attendance, and handle fees, fundraisers, form collection, and lots, lots more.
Band Registration 2010-2011
Don't forget to register for band class BOTH semesters! It is possible to take band every semester and still complete your graduation needs, as well as take other electives. To do this, you simply need to plan ahead. Registration info, complete with sample course schedules, is available here and on the Forms menu.
Upcoming Final Performances for 2009-10 School Year
Concord Bands will hold their final concert performances of the year on May 27th and during the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2010.
Thursday, May 27th - Full Program Concert - Students report to band room at 7:00p. Performance is at the Concord High Auditorium at 7:30p.
Saturday, June 12th - CHS Graduation Ceremonies @ Cabarrus Arena. Students: be ready to warm-up, instrument assembled, at 11:30a inside the arena. ALL STUDENTS IN THE CONCORD BANDS WHO ARE NOT GRADUATING ARE REQUIRED TO PERFORM AT GRADUATION. Parents are also needed to help transport large instruments to and from Cabarrus Arena.
Concert Bands
Concert bands are the core of any quality band program. Daily classroom rehearsals teach students practice methods while honing their musical abilities and enhancing their instrumental technique.
Concert bands exist throughout the school year and are open to all band students. Every musician needs this daily education, and it is important that it continues throughout the entire school year.
