Fundraising
We put the FUN in FUNdraising!
Students and their families have several opportunities to fundraise to help the band program. Fundraisers are not just work...they are also a way to spend time together with your fellow band members and band parents, and they are a great way to make new friends!
Be on the lookout for current fundraiser information from Mr. Morin and the Booster Vice President.

Sell Program Ads for The Concord Classic!
On February 25, 2012 nearly 60 groups from across Cabarrus county, Charlotte Metro,
and the NC/SC region will be at Concord High School to compete at The Concord
Classic, an indoor winterguard and percussion competition.
Approx 1200-1500 people will attend, and each person is given an event program full of
helpful information including the schedule for the day, maps of the school, and concession
pricing. As a fundraiser, we sell ad space in this program!
If your child has not shared info about this fundraiser, you can access it HERE.
There are 2 types of ads to sell - a CONGRATS Ad for family/friends to give their support to their favorite winterguard/band/drumline member(s), and a BUSINESS ad to sell for area businesses to advertise.
This year, 50% of the ads you sell goes to your band account, AND the member who sells the highest total dollar amount in ads gets a $25 Claire's giftcard! This is a great way to help pay FairShare, so SELL, SELL, SELL!
Cabarrus Arena
Working at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center is a great opportunity for you and your band student to earn money toward their FairShare. Your friends and family can also work to earn money toward your band student's FairShare!
Current Opportunities: All opportunities are listed through CHARMS and are filled on a first-come basis. You must have been trained for 2011 to be eligible for working. Email or call Tracy Rhodes, Special Events Coordinator for any questions, or to schedule a training session.
Note from the Coordinator:
I will call you a few days before the event to remind you and to go over some important details of when you arrive. Even if you have worked the arena before, there are a few changes this year. This is a great opportunity to raise your FairShare so don’t miss taking advantage of this! If you have any questions please email me arena@concordhsband.com or call me 704 701 2706.
Thank you,
Tracy Rhodes

On-Going Fundraisers
Community Sponsorships:
Is there someone you know in the community that might be willing to sponsor the band progam by making a financial donation? Perhaps a business owner, a community group, or just someone interested in helping fund music education? Open the Sponsorship Letter and add your own personal note at the end of the letter. A peronal note can make all the difference.
If all members mailed 10 letters and we averaged $10.00 per request, the sum total of the donations would exceed over $5,000 to fund much needed items like instruments and music!
Be sure to include a stamped self addressed envelope for their convenience and ask that they mail the donation to:
CHS Band Booster Association

Matching Gift Program
Did you know that many companies offer matching gift programs? It's an easy way to double your donation!
Many companies support their employees' community service and provide this as a part of their benefits package. To see if your company offers a Matching Gifts program, contact your Human Resources department. If your company does offer matching gifts, request a receipt when you make your donation to the band program, and follow the steps through your company's benefits department.
